MAJOR PRODUCTS
Our value offering draws from a carefully crafted matrix of advisory, sustainable production and healthy food systems. From seed to consumable products, we strive to maintain a clear, traceable pathway from farm to fork.
NUTRI PRODUCE PRODUCTS
NutriProduce will strive to work with service providers and smallholder farmers in identifying low-cost solutions to their challenges. We strongly believe in promoting strategies that embed economic, ecological and social gains, long term.
GRAIN LEGUMES
These are grown primarily for their edible seeds. Their seeds are harvested mature and marketed dry to be used as food, feed, or processed into various products. As excellent sources of protein and B vitamins, in addition to carbohydrate, grain legumes in NutriProduce focus are common bean, cowpea, lentils, chickpea, mung bean, groundnuts, pigeon peas, and soybean.
FRESH/DRIED FRUITS
NutriProduce works with producers of fruits to get the best quality to the consumer and processors but maintain a profitable venture for the farmer. We are currently developing a market for mangoes, pineapples and passion fruits.
FORAGE AND FEED ADVISORY
We are constantly seeking to collaborate with livestock practitioners in identifying best combinations of forages and fodder varieties including how to increase access to seed and management advice.
FRESH VEGETABLES
We believe that nutrition gains will be realized through more awareness and emphasis on healthy diets. Using the food basket approach, our aim will be to offer, not limited to vegetable products, the technical know-how to produce, utilize and improve household nutrition.
DRYLAND CEREALS
NutriProduce works across value chains and with dryland cereals, we aim to complement research outputs with linkages to private sector actors. With an objective to see increased productivity, profitability, resilience and marketability of critical and nutritious dryland cereals, our offer to transfer technologies will be focal. Key cereals under our purview are sorghum and pearl millet.
